Synopsis
A semi-stationary low over the Gulf of Alaska is expected to bring a series of impulses to the region today/tomorrow with periods of snow/flurries and moderate-strong ridge winds (briefly becoming light tonight) are expected. Next, a Pacific low is expected to move through the region on Wednesday with periods of snow and moderate-strong ridge winds becoming strong-extreme Wednesday night. Meanwhile, freezing levels at valley bottom are expected through tonight, increasing to 400-800 m tomorrow and then 1000-1400 m on Wednesday.
3 to 5 Day Outlook
A series of low will move through the region on Thursday/Friday bringing more periods of snow each day as well as strong ridge winds on Thursday and moderate ridge winds on Friday. Meanwhile, freezing levels falling to 600-1000 m on Thursday before rising slightly to 800-1200 m on Friday.
