Detailed Forecast

Overcast with light snow is expected today, then tapering down to scattered flurries tonight, and further weakening to isolated flurries possible early tomorrow morning, before resuming to fair and dry conditions by mid or late tomorrow morning, with total of 5-10 cm of snowfall accumulations possible today through tomorrow morning. Moderately strong W-NW ridge winds near 40-50 km/h gusting up to 55-65 km/h are also expected over much of today and tonight, then quickly diminishing to light by late tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, freezing levels up to 1000-1700 m are expected today through tomorrow.

Synopsis

A weak low system moving to the ESE through east of the region is expected to bring periods of light snow today, then tapering down to scattered flurries tonight and possibly isolated flurries early tomorrow morning, before returning to fair conditions by mid or late tomorrow morning. Moderately strong ridge winds are also expected today into tonight, then quickly diminishing tomorrow morning, and becoming light by tomorrow afternoon. Meanwhile, freezing levels up to 1000-1700 m are expected today through tomorrow.

3 to 5 Day Outlook

A ridge of high pressure is then expected to build up over the region by late Saturday, bringing mainly clear conditions and light ridge winds Sunday through early next week. Meanwhile, freezing levels up to 1700-1900 m are expected through much of the outlook period.
