Cloudy with periods of snow starting this afternoon, persisting through the overnight tonight. Snowfall amounts up to 5-10 cm are possible by tomorrow morning. Light ridge winds today, becoming S-SW 20-30 km/h gusting to 35-45 km/h tonight. Freezing levels up to 800-1200 m today then falling to 400-800 m tonight.

Synopsis

An impulse is expected to bring periods of snow this afternoon through the overnight with isolated flurries tomorrow morning/early afternoon. A low is then expected to move into the region with more snow, at times moderate to heavy, expected tomorrow afternoon into early Saturday morning. Fair and dry conditions are expected to resume on Saturday with below seasonal temperatures expected. Light ridge winds today, increasing to light-moderate tonight through Saturday. Meanwhile, freezing levels up to 800-1200 m today, then up to 600-1000 m tomorrow, and finally valley bottom on Saturday.

3 to 5 Day Outlook

A ridge of high pressure is expected to continue bringing fair and dry conditions with light ridge winds on Sunday/Monday. Meanwhile, freezing levels in the 500-1000 m range are expected through Monday.
