Mostly cloudy with isolated flurries is expected today, then clearing out tonight, and remaining mainly clear over the day tomorrow, followed with snow developing by tomorrow evening, with up to 4-8 cm snowfall amounts possible tomorrow night. The ridge winds near 20-30 km/h gusting to 35-45 km/h from the N-NNW are expected today and tonight, then dropping to light and variable over the day tomorrow, before increasing to the S-SW 25-35 km/h gusting to 40-50 km/h by tomorrow evening. Meanwhile, freezing levels at the valley bottom are expected today, tonight and over the day tomorrow, then rising up to near 800 m tomorrow night.

Synopsis

A weak low to the east of the area leaving to the southeast is still expected to bring few isolated flurries today, then clearing out tonight and keeping mainly clear over the day tomorrow. A strong low pressure pushing on the BC coast is expected to bring snow by tomorrow evening, moderate to heavier at times tomorrow night. Moderate ridge winds are also expected over much of today and tonight, then dropping to light over the day tomorrow, before increasing to moderate again by tomorrow evening. Meanwhile, freezing levels are expected at valley bottom today through the day tomorrow, then slightly rising up to near 800 m tomorrow night.

3 to 5 Day Outlook

Mostly cloudy with scattered flurries is still possible Monday morning, then clearing out by the afternoon. Fair and dry conditions are expected to continue Tuesday and Wednesday. Light- moderate ridge winds are also expected through much of the outlook period. Meanwhile, freezing levels up to 1700-1900 m are expected on Monday, and further rising up to 2200-2500 m Tuesday and Wednesday.
