Carpentry
The carpentry team gets to work with every department on the mountain. They do everything from building maintenance repairs, to brand to construction, to fine woodworking.
The Carpenters get to work in a fully serviced carpentry shop. This is a full time year round position.
Grooming
Groomers are people that take pride in their work and in the product they produce. The grooming machines are state of art technology.
The grooming crew is made up of fifteen year plus veterans and people relatively new to grooming. Generally people who start off as brand new groomers have worked in other departments on the mountain such as Lifts or Skating Rink. This department has two shifts, 4:30pm to 12:30am and 12:30am to 8:30am. This is a full time seasonal position and we usually hire 3-5 new to us groomers each year. One of the benefits of this job is that you know when the runs were groomed, and how much fresh champagne powder fell on top of that corduroy!
Lift Maintenance
Want a job that changes every 6 months? In the winter the Lift Maintenance crew do routine maintenance on the lifts and are available to help in the event of a lift stop.
These are the people in black driving around on the snowmobiles. In the summer the Lift Maintenance crew does all of the routine maintenance on the lifts. Lift Operations or Skating Rink Maintenance is the starting off point for this career. This is a full time year round position.
Lift Operators
This position offers the greatest opportunity for flexibility, full time, part time, split shifts, evening or day shifts.
Typically we hire 115 Lift Operators each year. From the group of Lift Operators, Drive Operators are selected for each lift. Lift Operations is a jumping off point for people wanting a career in the ski industry. Possible advancements are: Patrol, Grooming, or Apprenticeships in Carpentry or Millwright.
Lift Operators are a fun, hardworking, dynamic group. If you want to work outside, make friends for life and have an awesome winter experience this job is for you.
Patrol
Skiing, Skiing, Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowboarding, Snowboarding! Patrollers ride for 6-7 hours a day five days a week and get paid to do it!
The Patrol crew is a tightly knit group. We have patrollers who started in the late ‘90s and have never left. This is a great job for moving on in careers in the medical field, amongst our alumni we have firefighters, paramedics, nurses and doctors. Applicants must have the minimum requirements to be considered. We usually hire 6-8 new patrollers each year. There are options for part-time work, but full time is preferred.
Skating Rink
Do you want to live the Canadian dream and drive a Zamboni? Spend your days working outside with everyone having fun!
There are morning and evening shifts in this department. The Skating Rink has two jobs Rink Host and Rink Maintenance, five positions in total. This is a seasonal full time job.
Snow Removal
If you liked playing with Tonka toys as a child, just imagine getting to operate one! Snow Removal operates Graders, Loaders and Bobcats.
They start early in the morning so they can be finished the parking lots before everyone shows up. This means there is still time for turns in the afternoon.
Terrain Park
The terrain park crew is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance and testing of all the jumps, rails and snow features in our terrain park. Our terrain park crew will be working very closely with the outdoor events team as we host a variety of events from entry-level Slopestyle, Rail Jams, all the way up to national level Boarder Cross and Ski Cross races. The Outdoor Events team is responsible for the planning, setup and running of all the events in our Terrain Park.
We hire around 18-22 people each season for this department. There are morning and evening shifts in this department. These are seasonal full time positions.
Vehicle Maintenance
Any vehicle that moves whether on tires or tracks is serviced by the Vehicle Maintenance department.
Lift Operations is the starting off point for this career. This is a full time year round position.
