Detailed Forecast

Fair weather with some cloud covers is expected over the day today, then becoming mostly cloudy with a chance of isolated flurries tonight, and returning to mainly fair weather tomorrow. Moderate ridge winds are expected today, then slightly diminishing to light to moderate tonight and into tomorrow. Freezing level near the valley bottom today, tonight and tomorrow.

Synopsis

An upper ridge pushing into the region from the NW is expected to bring fair weather today, then followed by mostly cloudy with isolated flurries tonight, and retuning to mainly clear conditions by tomorrow afternoon. Freezing levels are expected near the valley bottom today through tomorrow, with temperatures cooling down into the range of -8 to -18C.

3 to 5 Day Outlook

The arctic air pushing into the area will continue to bring mainly clear weather and colder temperatures Sunday into the early next week, with mostly light ridge winds. Freezing levels at the valley bottom are also expected throughout the outlook period.

Visitors should be aware that mountain weather can be variable and change quickly. Daytime temperatures can be 5C to 10C degrees cooler at the summit and sky conditions may vary with elevation. Summit levels are also often breezier as wind flows unimpeded by trees and buildings. If you are headed to the top, be prepared, dress appropriately and you be sure to enjoy all that Big White Mountain Resort has to offer.
