This year's event proudly supporting the Powderhounds. Powderhounds Adaptive Snowsports is a program of People in Motion; a local non-profit and a registered charity.

The Kelowna & District Society for People In Motion is unique in its scope of practice and programs. They work to develop and enhance the lives and informal supports for persons with disAbilities – recognizing that the social isolation and obstacles inherent to the disability or adaptive needs can prevent or hinder opportunities to engage in healthy active living activities and relationship development. Bringing people together – for a common purpose and helping to break down barriers by providing inclusive, adaptive support and services is the heart of what we do at People In Motion.

The Powderhounds program is designed to assist anyone at any age with physical, cognitive, or sensory challenges who want to enjoy the slopes at Big White.

The Powderhounds program offers instruction specifically tailored to the needs of each participant. A fully volunteer workforce of certified Adaptive Ski Instructors, ensure access to fun out on the snow for everyone. Instructors provide upright ski instruction with whatever aides may be necessary, and they also offer sit-skiing for those who need additional support.

To keep our alpine air clean and to protect our natural environment from dangerous forest fires, smoking of any kind (including tobacco, marijuana, e-cigarettes and vaporizers) is strictly prohibited anywhere on Big White Ski Resort property outside of designated smoking areas. Our policy applies to both the summer and winter seasons.
