Big White Fire Department Raises Over $10K at 11th Annual Rooftop Campout
A total of $10,600 was raised in support of these programs, thanks to donations from Big White Ski Resort, guests and residents of Big White mountain.
"The Big White Firefighters stayed the two nights and had a blast doing it," wrote the Big White Fire Department in a letter to the resort on March 23. "Spirits were held high though by the amazing contributions from the Big White Community!"
With the funds, The Thrive Foundation will be able to empower many more adult burn survivors and prepare them with the knowledge and tools necessary to help navigate the demands of adulthood as burn survivors.
"From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for your continued support of our department, the Thrive Foundation, and the Big White Community. Without your willingness to help we could not have made the Rooftop Campout a success," added the fire department.
