Free Scenic Chairlift Rides for Frontline & Essential Service Workers
According to Peter Plimmer, President and CEO of Big White Ski Resort Ltd., this special announcement is a tribute to those who have worked throughout the pandemic to keep B.C. families and communities safe and operating.
"It's our way to say thank you," says Plimmer. "Big White is a family-owned company, and we all live in the valley of those that have been protecting us during the pandemic and wildfire season. We hope that everyone that works on the frontline and has helped us get through these unprecedented times gets a chance to visit the mountain this Labour Day long weekend."
Essential workers who would like to take advantage of this special offer are to provide an I.D. or paystub from their employer at the Big White Ski Resort ticket window (offer not available online) to receive a complimentary scenic chairlift pass. To determine if you qualify for this offer, visit the Government of B.C.'s List of Essential Services online.
Big White Ski Resort’s summer chair lifts provide easy access for visitors to explore Big White’s hiking trails, located at the top of the Bullet Chair. Guided hiking is also available on the mountain to learn more about Big White and the area.
While on the mountain, check out the events this weekend, including the Big White Canadian Slopestyle Championships hosted by Tom van Steenbergen, the Season Ender Disc Golf Tournament, and Big White Ski Resort's annual Winter is Coming September Sale.
