Welcome to Masters’ Week – the perfect blend of skiing, progression, and unforgettable experiences for passionate skiers aged 50 and older.
Each morning begins with 2-hour lessons led by some of Canada’s top instructors and Big White’s best, set against our stunning mountain backdrop. Beyond the slopes, enjoy two exclusive lunch experiences, après events, plus optional activities. It’s so much more than just a lesson - it’s a week of connection, camaraderie, and progression. Ski, socialize, and leave with new skills and lasting friendships.

- Lunch at Happy Valley on Day 1. Enjoy a delicious lunch after your first lesson and get to know your new Masters’ Week group and instructor.
- Lunch at Happy Valley on Day 3. Join us for great conversation and delicious food with your group to recharge and unwind halfway through the week.
- Masters’ Reception on Day 4. End the penultimate day with a social afternoon at Happy Valley with complimentary drinks and appetizers with the whole Masters’ Week crew.




Meet Our Snow Pros

with Big White since 2015
Anita is super proud of her level 2 cert and is always actively working to improve her teaching and skiing skills. Anita continues to be inspired by the joy to be found in the mountains and sharing the passion for a sport that she loves. She loves working with women and has a special affinity for working with older woman who may have some trepidations about challenging themselves on the ski hill. She is able to empathize with people, men and women,who may feel insecure with their ability to manage new physical skills. She very much enjoys working the levels four and five as those skiiers begin to challenge themselves on the 'big mountain'.

with Big White since 2009
Matt is a Big White lifer and has been skiing at this resort for over 30 years. The last 17 years of which has been spent as an instructor at BWS&B School. Having been fully invested in becoming the best possible instructor, Matt achieved his Level 3 instructor certification in 2011 and became a Level 1 Course Conductor/ski trainer in 2014. He knows the ins/outs of the mountain intimately and loves skiing both powder/trees and groomers. Matt’s specialities are technical skiing while having great fun! People say he’s a good teacher and patient communicator.

As a 25-year member of the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance, Mike has spent 16 at Big White and cant think of anywhere better to be in the winter time. He enjoys teaching beginners to advanced skiers and believes that a ski lesson should be SAFE, ACTIVE, FUN, TECHNICALLY FOCUSED AND STUDENT CENTRED, while using terrain to reinforce learning and fun. He is looking forward to welcoming back old friends and new guests alike to talk all things skiing and share in the beauty of being outside.

Berne has been ski instructing in the Snow School at Big White for twenty five seasons. What keeps bringing him back to this fantastic mountain and Snow School are the people and the snow. His passion is working with adults whether introducing them to snow for the first time or fine tuning their skiing skills at higher levels. He loves working with groups or doing privates. Whether you’re a first timer or an experienced skier that wants to fine tune your skiing skills and tour the mountain, come and ski with Berne and enjoy putting your signature on the snow as we make turns.

with Big White since 2023
Regan has been a ski instructor for 10 years. She taught for six years in Ontario, and this will be her fifth season in the Okanagan. She taught for two years at Silver Star, and this is now her third year at Big White. Regan is blessed to instruct such amazing clients and to work for such a great ski school. She loves teaching groups, privates, Masters’ Weeks and Ladies Days. Regan enjoys teaching bump skills and getting out on a powder day when there is some deeper snow. Her approach to teaching is to stay engaged with the clients and offer good analysis and technical knowledge. Meanwhile, Regan always wears a smile and keeps a positive attitude.
